My father being the man he is, still has to make sure I'm checking my oil on a daily basis. Maybe not daily, but at least weekly. Everytime I stop by my parents' house, he must make sure my oil level is okay. I try to assure him its alright but in his eyes its not.I can usually go two weeks at a time without checking my oil. And when I do check, the level is always fine. But is it better to check more often than that? I don't believe so. Especially if you have a smaller car like I do. You really don't get much smaller than a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier. But my father has a 1999 Ford F-150, so he probably has to check that more often than a little car like mine. Plus my car gets about 15 more miles to the gallon than his truck does, so you have to take that into account. Cars have been traditionally running on steam, which in turn is produced by burning gasoline. This is now causing problem to people all over the world, as gasoline prices are now on a steady hike.Good thing some companies are actually looking out for ways to be less dependent on this source of energy. A good transportation system builds the base of a vibrant economy. A bad transportation kills it. The transfer of goods relies heavily on the way it is transferred from the point of origin to the point of destination. The more costly and tedious it is, the worse it is for the larger economy.Extensive research is put on transportation systems, as it was already proven that transportation is an important aspect of an economy. One such agency focusing on transportation research is the Transportation Research Board (TRD).
