As an Amsoil Dealer it is a way to provide information about the use of Synthetic oils and Lubes in our cars, trucks, motorcycles, or anything needing lubrication. Using Amsoil you see an average of 8% gain in MPG in you vehicles, and have seen in some up to 15%. Extending out oil changes you can also see a huge savings in oil change costs. Amsoil has several motor oils garrentied to last 25,000 miles. Oil filters that filter down to 15 micron enstead of 20 to 25 micron like other manufatures. Air filter using synthetic media that last up to 100,000 miles. By-pass filtration down to 2 micron that can extend oil changes beyound 25,000 miles.
Better oils and filtration become longer and better running engines.

What inspired you to launch your own website?
To help get the sysnthetic oil information out to everyone.

How did you decide on a name for your website?
It just fit. The areas where we live is known as the mid south comprising of North Ms, West Tn, and Eastern Ar. We can also do sales across the country but focus mainly in our area.
What makes it different from other, similar offerings?
Not a corp. site, updated regularly by us.
What is your eventual goal? (To sell it, keep it for income, secure a book or other mainstream media deal?)
Keep it and continue to add information and product listings.
How does your investment of time and money balance against your success?
Slowly but the name is getting out. We have the website, do locale car and motorcycle shows, give out info anytime we can.
If you had an unlimited development budget for development, how would you change your site?
More streemlined, not fancy, just more user friendly. Better software for developing pages.
If your site got really big, really quickly, would you be able to keep up with the demand?
I belive we could, possibly hiring someone to manage it on part time or full time as need be.
What unexpected costs and headaches have you had to deal with?
None as of yet.
What has been your biggest challenge?
Getting better rankings for the site to get better surch results.
What method has been most successful for promoting your website?
Time, time, time and keeping current information on the site such as new product listings.
How has running your website differed from your expectations?
Takes a lot of time, more then I first expected.
How long have you run the site already, and how long will you continue to keep it up if you don't enjoy big gains in traffic, income or popularity?
As long as I still have the dealership we will keep it up, we don't make much money on sales, margins are small, and Amsoil is not well known in this area of the country. My wife and I will keep plugging away at it until it does become what it can be.
